Sub‑Zero refrigerator not cooling? Call before noon for a same‑day appointment.
We repair built‑in Sub‑Zero refrigerators across South Florida — Classic, Designer and PRO. Our technicians carry genuine Sub‑Zero parts, so most repairs are finished in a single visit and you approve the price before any work starts.

Refrigerator problems we fix
- The refrigerator runs but is not cooling
- The compressor runs constantly and never cycles off
- Water is pooling under or inside the unit
- The interior light works but the box is warm
- The door will not seal and frost forms at the edge
- The unit is louder than it used to be
We repair all of these. Tell us your model number and what the unit is doing.
In your kitchen today
A warm refrigerator is an emergency. We treat it like one.
Our technicians arrive with the parts a Sub‑Zero refrigerator repair usually needs, diagnose the unit in your kitchen, and give you the total before anything is opened up. Most repairs are finished the same visit.
What we repair
Every common Sub‑Zero refrigerator failure, on one visit.
A built‑in refrigerator that stops cooling is almost always a sealed-system, airflow or control fault — not a reason to replace a unit framed into your cabinetry. These are the repairs our technicians make most often.

Sealed system & compressor
refrigerant leaks, failed compressors and the cooling faults behind a warm box

Evaporator & condenser fans
the airflow failures that leave one section warm while another stays cold

Defrost boards & sensors
control boards, defrost timers and thermistors reading the box wrong

Door gaskets & hinges
worn seals and dropped hinges that let warm air and humidity in

Water & drainage
blocked drains and pooling water inside or beneath the cabinet

Temperature control
units that will not hold their set point or swing warm and cold
Repair or replace
Repairing a built-in usually costs a fraction of replacing it.
A built-in is sized to the opening in your cabinets, so fitting another brand usually means paying a carpenter to rebuild them. Repairing makes sense whenever it costs less than half the cost of replacing it, which is true on most of the jobs we see. We do our own work, and we will not push you to buy a new one.
When we will tell you to replace it
- Rust has gone through the structural frame. Frame rust is common near the coast and cannot be repaired.
- The sealed system has failed twice within five years.
Recent jobs
Repairs we completed in the past week.
Wine cooler running warm
The wine cooler was reading 61°F when we arrived. We repaired a refrigerant leak at the evaporator joint and recharged the system. It held 55°F by that afternoon.
ReplacedSealed system
Was 61 degrees. Restored to 55 degrees Fahrenheit.
Ice maker had stopped filling
The fill tube on this undercounter ice maker was frozen solid. We replaced the water inlet valve and reset the cleaning cycle.
ReplacedWater inlet valve
Restored to 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
Loud noise from a built-in refrigerator
The owner heard a new noise from a 700-series built-in. We replaced the evaporator fan motor and cleaned the condenser while the panel was off.
ReplacedEvaporator fan motor
Restored to 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
Marine refrigerator not staying cold
Salt air had corroded the electrical contacts in a refrigerator drawer aboard a yacht. We replaced and coated the contacts and flushed salt out of the condenser. The drawer was back at temperature the same visit.
ReplacedElectrical contacts
Restored to 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
Refrigerator door not sealing
The weight of the custom door panel had pulled the hinges out of line, so the door no longer sealed. We realigned the hinges and fitted a new gasket, which stopped the compressor from running constantly.
ReplacedHinges and door gasket
Restored to 38 degrees Fahrenheit.
Refrigerator stopped cooling after a storm
The lights and display came back on after a storm outage, but the refrigerator was not cooling. We replaced the control board and checked the temperature sensors before we finished.
ReplacedControl board
Restored to 38 degrees Fahrenheit.

Questions
Common questions about Sub-Zero repair.
If your question is not answered here, call us and we will answer it.
Is it worth repairing a Sub-Zero?
Almost always. A typical repair runs $300–800, and even sealed-system or compressor work at $1,200–2,400 costs far less than a like-for-like replacement at $8,000–18,000. A replacement also means paying for cabinet work, because the unit is framed into the surrounding millwork. We recommend repair when it costs less than half the cost of replacing it, and we will tell you when your unit is past that point.
What does a Sub-Zero repair cost?
The price depends on what has failed. The technician diagnoses the unit at your home and gives you the total in writing, and you approve it before any work starts. There is no surcharge for nights, weekends or holidays.
How fast can you get here?
We can usually get a technician to you the same day anywhere in Miami-Dade if you call before noon. Someone answers the phone at any hour, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Will you have the part with you?
Our technicians carry compressors, evaporator and condenser fans, control boards, gaskets, hinges and ice-maker modules for current and recent models. Most repairs are finished in one visit. If we do not have the part with us, we order it the same day.
Do you service Sub-Zero units on boats?
Yes. We work dockside and we can reach units built into a yacht’s cabinetry. Tell us the marina and the slip number and we will arrange dock access before the visit.
Are you affiliated with Sub-Zero?
No. We are an independent service company, not authorized or endorsed by Sub-Zero Group. We work on their equipment every day and we use OEM parts, but warranty work has to go through a factory certified company.
Which models do you work on?
We work on the current Classic, Designer and PRO series, and on the older units they replaced: 600 and 700 series models and anything with a BI or IT prefix. We also service ice makers from the UC-15I through the current DEU1550I, along with wine coolers, refrigerator drawers and outdoor units.
